One thing I’m really vigilant about is my health. No matter how busy I am or how hectic my life becomes–between juggling my company and family commitments– I do not let my mammogram appointments lapse. Breast cancer took my mother and grandmother’s life and affected some of my closest friends. I really encourage every woman to keep up their annual appointments (for me bi-annual). Despite what you’ve heard, it really isn’t that painful or time consuming. The peace of mind you get from staying on top of your health is worth it. I feel so grateful to my doctor, Dr. Elsie Levin, the medical director at the Boston Breast Diagnostic Center. Her and her team are dedicated to early detection through advanced imaging. I am truly thankful for their work and dedication to helping women detect and fight this terrible disease.
